- Student consistently demonstrates intellectual curiosity; is consistently self- motivated and independent.
- Student frequently demonstrates intellectual curiosity; is usually self-motivated and independent.
- Student rarely demonstrates intellectual curiosity; is never or rarely self-motivated and independent, and/or depends on prompting and teacher assistance.
*Demonstration of Target Language Skills
- Without prompting, student can ask and respond to memorized questions, in the target language, pertaining to unit of study.
- With some prompting student can ask and respond to memorized questions, in the target language, pertaining to unit of study.
- Even with prompting student cannot ask and/or respond to memorized questions, in the target language, pertaining to unit of study.
*Active Participant
- Student is consistently, actively engaged in the lesson; always uses time wisely; and always demonstrates an eager readiness to learn
- Student is engaged in the lesson most of the time; sometimes uses time wisely; and at times demonstrates a readiness to learn
