Classroom Management

Our class has the following rules:

Be safe.

Be kind.

Be polite.

There are only these three rules as they represent most behaviors. They are worded in what we “should” do rather than what we should not do. My classroom management philosophy consists of rewarding positive behavior; individually, and as a class. We also participate in the Class Dojo system.  Each child deserves to learn in a positive, nurturing classroom environment. I feel the above behavior systems will assist your child in following our class rules and making good choices. Logical consequences will follow for misbehavior. These consequences will consist of gentle reminders of class rules; written or verbal apologies for unkind behavior towards others; and walking back to the starting point instead of running. 

My goal is to foster a warm and caring community of learners who care about each other and want to be active participants in the classroom.
