Mrs. Bethanne Barousse
Mrs. Barousse joined the East Greenwich Township School District as the Samuel Mickle Assistant Principal in 2022. Mrs. Barousse strives to create a school environment that is founded on respect, positivity, and trust among staff, students, parents, and the East Greenwich community. Above all, she believes in providing a learning environment that is exciting and rigorous and empowers students in pursuing learning.
Prior to coming to East Greenwich Township, Mrs. Barousse was an English Language Arts teacher for eight years at Nehaunsey Middle School in Greenwich Township where she was heavily involved in extracurriculars, school improvement, and leadership committees, curriculum writing, and student remediation initiatives.
Mrs. Barousse earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, a Master of Science in K-12 Teaching Degree, a New Jersey State Teaching Certification for K-12 Subject Matter English, and a New Jersey Principal’s Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, all through Rowan University.
It is her goal to continue to foster the strong home-school relationship already established by East Greenwich Schools and improve student performance with quality instruction that prepares children for their futures beyond the classroom, all while building a positive, respectful climate for all.
Mrs. Barousse resides in her hometown of Pitman, NJ with her husband Lou and their very active black lab, Harper. In her free time, Mrs. Barousse loves reading, country music, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with her family.
