BTB FAQs

  • Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. Below is a list of answers to our frequently asked questions for our Beyond The Bell program. If you have any further questions not covered or require additional information you can reach us at beyondthebell@eastgreenwich.k12.nj.us or you can leave a message at 856-423-0412 extension 1075.

    What are our hours?

    • AM session starts at 6:30AM and dismissal is directly into their classrooms
    • PM 1 starts at dismissal and pick up is no later than 4:40PM
    • PM 2 starts at dismissal and pick up is no later than 6:00PM

What are the consequences if I am late picking up my child?

If you are going to be late please call us at 856-423-0412 extension 1075.

    • For PM 1, after the third late pick up you will be switched to PM 2 for the remainder of the school year.
    • For PM 2, on the third and each late pick up after that, you will be charged a $25 per child late pick up fee.

After the sixth late pick up we will need to determine if Beyond The Bell is right for you and your family.

    When are payments due?

Payment is due on the 5th of each month. If the 5th falls on a day that school is not in session, payment is due the next day we are in session. If your payment is received after the due date, a $10 late fee needs to be added.

Drop In option is due at the time you drop off or pick up your child.

How does the Drop In option work?

No prior notice is required for AM Drop In only.

24 hours notice is required for the PM Drop In, either by phone call to the BTB telephone line or to the BTB email address. There is no multi child discount for drop ins.

What do I do if there is a change of plans to my calendar?

On the day of the change, you will need to send in a change of dismissal with your child. Your child must turn in the form to their teacher. Their teacher will then turn it in to the office and Beyond The Bell will be notified. A follow up call to the Beyond The Bell phone number is encouraged. Please note if there is any doubt we will keep your child with us as their safety is our number one concern.

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?

For The Samuel Mickle School, there is a small parking on the left as you enter from Kings Highway. There are parking spots designated for BTB parents. There is a ramp that goes up to the door at the back of the cafeteria. Please knock on the door and a staff member will come to the door to either get or deliver your child. At this time, you are not permitted into the school building.

For The Jeffrey Clark School, as you come to the end of the building, make a right. Toward the back of the building there are parking spots. Use these spots and walk your child to the BTB entrance. There will be a sign on the door and a door bell. Please ring the bell and a staff member will come to the door. At this time, you are not permitted into the school building. Please do not park past the garage, near the entrance.

What is the Drop In Maintenance fee?

If you choose the Drop In option, you must guarantee at least one day per child per month. You must pay $15 by the 5th of the month in order to hold your spot. This will be used as a credit for the first day you drop in that month. It must be used in that month. Failure to pay the fee by the end of the month will cause you to be put on the wait list.

    What is an extended day?

An early dismissal of the school on selected days during the school year. Early dismissal is at 12:40 and BTB will start at this time. Extended days are included in all programs with the exception of the Drop In program. On extended day/early dismissal the Drop In Charge is double and will be $30 for that day.

On extended days, you are required to send in a lunch with your child unless we give you advanced notice otherwise.
