Andrea Evans - Superintendent

   Mrs. Evans has been with the East Greenwich Township Schools for three years, where she serves as the principal of the Samuel Mickle School. Mrs. Evans strongly believes in fostering positive partnerships between parents, students and staff to develop students’ maximum potential as learners and citizens.
 
   Prior to serving the East Greenwich Township Schools community, Mrs. Evans served as the K-12 Supervisor of Literacy Language Arts in Vineland, NJ for six years. In this position, Mrs. Evans led the staff in transitioning to the Common Core Standards by aligning and developing curriculum and resources, providing professional development in best practices, and using formative and summative data to make decisions about teaching and learning. Mrs. Evans partnered with the New Jersey Principal and Supervisors Association to provide professional development to administrators and teachers. During this time, Mrs. Evans also served as an adjunct professor at Cumberland County College. Before transitioning to administration, Mrs. Evans worked as an elementary teacher for nine years in Camden and Vineland.
 
   Mrs. Evans obtained her Masters in Reading Education from Rowan University in 2008, and she also holds the following NJDOE certifications: Principal, Supervisor of Instruction, Reading Specialist. Mrs. Evans completed her undergraduate work in Psychology from Rowan University in 1999.
 
   Mrs. Evans resides in Mullica Hill with her husband. In her free times, she enjoys reading, gardening and the beach.
