Mickle Summer Bicycle Safety Presentation
Summer Bicycle Safety Presentation Information
A student enrolled in the Samuel Mickle School (grades 3 to 6) may ride his or her bicycle to school with parent/guardian written permission. Students must participate in a bicycle safety orientation in order to receive their bike riding pass. Parents and students are invited to join us for an early bird bicycle safety orientation on one of the following dates:
Thursday August 15th, 2019: 11:00-11:45
Wednesday August 28th, 2019: 11:00-11:45
Presenters: Traci Bowles: District Assistant Principal
TBD: East Greenwich Police Officer(s)
Students who attend the early bird summer orientation will have the benefit of being permitted to ride their bicycles to school on the first day of school. Students who cannot attend the summer orientation must attend bicycle safety orientation the first week of school before being able to ride their bicycles to school.
The purpose of the orientation is to ensure students are aware of bicycle safety both on and off Samuel Mickle School’s campus. Students will tour the approved riding areas on campus and review practices for being a safe rider. We hope to see you there!
