Beth Ann Godfrey was appointed Supervisor of the Child Study Team for East Greenwich Township School District in July 2007. Mrs. Godfrey’s personal mission statement is, “Through dedication, compassion and integrity, I aspire to learn from life experiences and apply that knowledge to make tomorrow a brighter day for those who learn uniquely. “

 

   Mrs. Godfrey attended Rowan University and received her undergraduate degree in Special Education. She went on to obtain her Master of Education from Widener University along with her Supervisory Certificate. While teaching, Mrs. Godfrey returned to Rowan to be certified as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. Mrs. Godfrey holds Special Education, General Education, Supervisor and LDT-C certifications.

 

   Mrs. Godfrey’s began her career in education for the Woodbury Public School District. While in Woodbury, Mrs. Godfrey taught a self-contained classroom. After a few years, she was the district’s interventionist in the primary grades. Mrs. Godfrey became part of Woodbury’s Child Study Team as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. During her time in Woodbury, Mrs. Godfrey was awarded “Teacher of the Year” in 2001. In addition to her role as the LDT-C, Mrs. Godfrey helped develop and implement an integrated community based preschool program.

 

   After ten years in the Woodbury School District, Mrs. Godfrey came to East Greenwich Township School District as the Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. Within a year, Mrs. Godfrey was named the Supervisor of the Child Study Team. Her membership in Council for Exceptional Children, New Jersey Association for Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultants and New Jersey Principal and Supervisor Association, as well as her strengths in organization, curriculum knowledge and analyzing data helped Mrs. Godfrey forge partnerships with the special education teachers, students and families to provide an exceptional experience within the district. Her goals include, but are not limited to: continuing compliance with all state and federal special education indicators, augmenting PK-6 inclusionary practices, making data driven and best practice decisions to maximize student learning, and building relationships with various stakeholders including agencies, parents and community members to enhance the special education department of East Greenwich Township Schools.

 

   Mrs. Godfrey is married and raised two children in neighboring Greenwich Township. When not working, Mrs. Godfrey enjoys spending time at the beach and traveling.
