My name is Mrs. Jennifer Daubert and my role this school year is "Teacher on Assignment". I work closely with staff and students in the Jeffery Clark and Samuel Mickle School in grades Preschool to 3rd grade, giving support specifically in literacy. East Greenwich Township School District was awarded the New Jersey Tiered Systems of Supports (NJTSS) Grant. NJTSS is a framework of supports and interventions to improve student achievement, based on the core components of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and the three tier prevention logic of Response to Intervention (RTI).
I am excited to be in my 15th school year in the East Greenwich Township school district. I have spent 13 of those years at the Samuel Mickle building primarily as a special education teacher. During my time at Samuel Mickle, I have had experiences as a general education teacher, co-teacher, mentor to colleagues, served on a variety of curriculum committees, and a team leader to the fourth grade teachers. In the Jeffrey Clark School, I had the opportunity to teach the Integrated Preschool Program for the past two years, and serve as the Special Education team leader.
I graduated from Gloucester County College in 2003 with an Early Childhood certification. I continued my education and graduated in December of 2005 from Rowan University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education. In addition, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Reading in 2009. Currently, I am pursing my School Leadership degree from Wilimington University. I reside in Mantua Township with my husband, Jamie, and our five-year-old-son, Jack. My husband is from East Greenwich, and attended this very same school district! I grew up in Woodbury Heights and attended the town elementary school and Gateway Regional High School.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son grow and learn. We enjoy traveling and have a definite love for the beach. Fall is my favorite season and I can't get through the day without a couple cups of coffee! When I am not teaching, I enjoying cooking, watching a good movie, and relaxing with my dog, Lilly.
I thoroughly enjoy being a teacher and strive to make all classrooms a motivated, interactive and positive learning environment for the children. I always encourage children to do their best and always give them the support that they need to overcome their challenges and succeed. I enjoy working with our dedicated staff, and am excited to be a part of their classrooms this school year helping them to cultivate a wonderful reading experience for our students.
