I hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable summer! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and welcome you to the 2018–2019 school year at the Jeffrey Clark School. My name is Mrs. Jennifer Daubert (your child may call me Miss Jen), and I am your child’s preschool teacher. In my classroom, students will experience a variety of early reading and math concepts, language development, handwriting foundations, fine and gross motor skills and social skills.
I am excited to be entering my 14th school year in the East Greenwich Township school district. This class will be my second preschool class! I have spent the past 12 years at the Samuel Mickle building primarily as a special education teacher. During my time at Samuel Mickle, I have also had experiences as a general education teacher, co-teacher, mentor to colleagues, served on a variety of curriculum committees, and a team leader to the fourth grade teachers. I have had the privilege of teaching preschool the past 7 summers at Jeffrey Clark. It is during that time that I found a true passion for preschool. As I move forward in my teaching career, I am grateful for this new opportunity, and am extremely excited for the year ahead.
I graduated from Gloucester County College in 2003 with an Early Childhood certification. I continued my education and graduated in December of 2005 from Rowan University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education. In addition, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and Reading in 2009. I reside in Mantua Township with my husband, Jamie, and our soon to be four-year-old-son, Jack. My husband is from East Greenwich, and attended this very same school district! I grew up in Woodbury Heights and attended the town elementary school and Gateway Regional High School. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son grow and learn. We enjoy traveling and have a definite love for the beach. Fall is my favorite season and I can't get through the day without a couple cups of coffee! When I am not teaching, I enjoying cooking, watching a good movie, and relaxing with my dog, Lilly.
I thoroughly enjoy being a teacher and strive to make my classroom a motivated, interactive and positive learning environment for the children. I always encourage children to do their best and always give them the support that they need to overcome their challenges and succeed. I look forward to getting to know all of the students and their families. I am excited to work together to help the children have a successful year and truly grow to love school.
