Kristen Lombardo-Clark/Mickle
Hello, my name is Kristen Lombardo. I am the school counselor for grades 2 through 6. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Eastern University. Prior to coming to East Greenwich I worked for six years as a social worker with at risk youth.
My role as the school counselor is to provide individual counseling, small group counseling, large group counseling, and consultation. Individual counseling allows you or your child the maximum amount of privacy. It is face to face, one-on-one counseling. A specific topic is discussed during these sessions. Sessions usually take place once a week but may also take place only as needed. Small group counseling usually consists of four to six members. Again, a specific topic is discussed. It may be problem-centered (anger management, conflict resolution) or need-centered (self-esteem, social skills). The benefit of a small group is that the children learn from each other. Small group usually runs once a week for eight to ten week periods. Several times a year large group counseling will also take place. These groups consist of classroom lessons. The benefit of classroom lessons is that you can reach the maximum amount of students in a small amount of time. Usually these lessons are co-taught with the classroom teachers so lessons can carry over into everyday classroom activities. Some examples of large group lessons would be conflict resolution, career awareness, or transitions to the Mickle School from Jeffery Clark or from the Mickle school to Kingsway. Consultation is a major role I have here at East Greenwich. I maintain open communication between teachers, the principal, the special area teachers, related service providers, parents, and community resource providers. Even if I never see your child for individual counseling or group counseling I will become familiar with your child through the consultation process.

Angelina Weston-Clark
My name is Angelina Weston and I am the School Counselor for the Beginners and First graders at the Jeffery Clark School. I am scheduled to work on Mondays and Wednesdays, although sometimes I will be available on other days.
Previously, I was Kristen Lombardo’s Intern Counselor and also worked in Dana McWilliams class as an Instructional Aide. My educational background includes a B.A. in Psychology, from Rutgers University and an M.A. in School Counseling, from Wilmington University. My additional professional experiences include a case manager for the Division of Youth and Family Services and retail management for eight years. I bring a combination of education and experience to the Jeffery Clark School.
My role is to ensure that all students’ academic, personal/social and career development needs are addressed. This will be done by implementing and evaluating the existing School Counseling Program that promotes and enhances the student’s success.
The Program includes a preventive approach and is based on the premise that certain needs and concerns are common to everyone. These needs can best be met through classroom guidance lessons, individual counseling, small group counseling and consultation. Classroom guidance lessons will occur on a monthly basis and will include topics such as listening skills, making and keeping friends, identifying and expressing feelings, bullying prevention, career awareness and safety skills. Individual counseling is confidential and offers students a time to express feelings and cope with stress. This frees them to use their energy in more positive ways. When several students have a similar issue, they may participate in small group counseling. Small group counseling is also confidential and allows the students to learn from each other and help one another.
I look forward to working with you and your children and making this a fantastic school year at Clark! Please contact me with any questions or concerns at 856-423-0613 ext 2034 or by email
